My take on Zombies

Alright, so I’ll say it up front.  I’m kinda tired of all of this zombie business.  Sure everyone likes zombies and they’re everywhere from baby clothes to TV shows, but they’re (un)dead people that want to eat you.  That’s not cool at all.  I mean, I’ve enjoyed the Resident Evil and Dead Rising games, and I’ve had a couple of fleeting thoughts about how cool it would be to behead a zombie with a bat or a shotgun.  Let’s keep it real though folks.  If they hopped into the real world, you’d be good for a bit, but you’d eventually get tired of swinging.  You’d run out of ammunition.  Sure you could find a safe place to hide (or not), but you’ll have to restock on supplies eventually.  ”Ok, well let’s hit up Wal-Mart…  HEY COOL, THERE ARE ZOMBIES HERE TOO!”  That’s prooooobably not what you would say!  It probably wouldn’t work out like it does in the movies either because let’s face it, not all of us are fit enough to deal with a battle like that EVERY DAY.  Spending 24 hours a day 7 days a week fighting off an undead force that never sleeps?!  No way.  I was talking with a friend and I said that someone needs to put an end to this zombie craze.  Maybe I can create some Umbrella Corp. virus or some junk and inject someone to see how they like actually being a zombie.  Whoops, now there’s a true zombie apocalypse on the horizon if not dealt with quickly.  And the day that happens, I’m sure most of the people who are all like “YEAH, ZOMBIES” would change their opinion to “#@$&, ZOMBIES, AAAAAHHH!” and try to run home to Mom and Pop..  Oh crap, THEY’RE ZOMBIES TOO NOW!!  Not so cool anymore eh, kiddos?  Heh heh..

Stupid stuff that makes me happy (part 1)

You know how on the package for certain brands of ramen, there’s a picture of the ramen with carrots, celery, and chicken in it?  Have you ever been disappointed at the fact that it’s not all in there with the package?  I was tonight..  Then I said to myself:  ”Hey, I have celery, carrots, and chicken in the fridge…  OH SNAP!”  So I made ramen with those extra ingredients tonight and it was pretty ballin’, lol!

Music + Andy = ???

I tried to go to sleep a couple of hours ago with no luck, so I laid in my bed listening to random music on youtube.  I ran across some random instrumental, and I thought “This is pretty freakin’ great!”  It was upbeat, dynamic, and catchy.  It had everything I deemed necessary for a good piece of music.  What really caught my attention was not how good the music was, however.  On my second play of the tune, I actually watched the video that went with it.  This dude that made the music was enjoying himself SO MUCH!  This particular producer’s name is Ronald Jenkees.  I sat there watching and nodding my head to the rhythm, and then I thought to myself..  ”I remember that…  Why don’t I have that much fun making my own music anymore?”  As I thought about that.  I remembered how as of late I had all but given up on making music due to negative feedback from family and others.  People were saying stuff like “It’s not a good career choice”, “You’ll never make it”, or even “Your stuff is good, but your style wouldn’t do well.”  At first, I shrugged these kinds of things off since I was too busy with high school, college, or working.  Fast forward to 2011, and unfortunately, 25 year old Andy still has absolutely nothing to show besides the music he’s made over the years.  That fact is definitely deepening the wound, and it’s definitely enforcing all of these things I’m being told.  After seeing Mr. Jenkees at work and listening to the encouraging words he tells at the end of EACH VIDEO, AND seeing the success he’s had so far, what in the world is stopping me from doing the same??  The only answer I can come up with for this question is:  Myself.  Now I know that a ton of my friends have told me that my music is “Awesome!” and stuff like that, and I thank you all who have supported me. so from now on, I’m going to disregard all of the negatives.  I know they will keep coming, but it’s not going to stop me.  I’m going to focus on doing the best work I can, and getting my music out there.  I don’t even want to be famous!  I just want to make a living doing what I love to do, and (Lord willing) I’m gonna make it happen!  I’m thinking about taking down everything from my soundcloud page except for my ReWORK EP because I feel that those tracks are some of my best works.  Thanks for reading this if you took the time to!  Hopefully you’ll be hearing some new awesome tunes from me soon!  Maybe some of the more popular music of mine will make a comeback too.  Anyway, that’s all for now.  I’m going to attempt to go to sleep again, lol!
